Reiki and other forms of energy healing are used with animals to balance the energy fields of the body, restoring natural flow and in turn physical health and vitality. Most energy healers have a ritual that they use before every treatment to clear any negative energy from the treatment area, and to clear themselves in preparation for their client. Essential oils can be diffused or misted into the air, or several drops can be massaged into the healer’s hands and used to massage the air around the client, “cleansing” the aura in preparation to receive Reiki or other types of energetic treatments.
